Water is obviously one of the most important substances in your body – your body being 3/4 water in the first place! Your body needs water to function, and it gets it by your diet. There are a lot of advantages of drinking excess amounts of water.

The water cycle of the body is: Get water from outside (Input), use it as necessary (Consumption), and get some of it out by urinating and sweating (Output). At any moment, your body needs a certain amount of water in your body to keep functioning. But, what happens if you get little water in you? Does your body stop functioning and do you die? No, you don’t.

What happens when you don’t supply your body with enough water is: your body tries to preserve water by decreasing the amount given away by urinating and sweating. So you’ll urinate and sweat in lesser volumes, and the amount in your body will stay constant. So, why drink excess amounts of water when you’ll just give most of it away, and have the same amount in your body?

Very simple! When you don’t drink water and your body preserves the water already present in your body; each drop of water in your body stays in your body for a much longer period of time. In that time, it gets used, used, used and used again; and it loses its properties and becomes contaminated. These have two major consequences:

Because of the “unclear” and “dirty” properties that your body now has because of using the same water again and again; your skin pores are clogged much easier, and you get acnes and blackheads much frequently than before. Drink more water, that’s how to get rid of acnes and blackheads.
Because your body tries to preserve water, it reduces the amount of resources it allocates to rebuilding damaged parts of your body. These damaged parts include your scars, and in particular, acne scars on your face. With reduced resources, the rebuilding process takes much longer, and even when it’s completely rebuilt it’s still not very healthy, as it’s rebuilt with used water. Drink more water, that’s how to get rid of acne scars quicker. Simple as that.

A healthy diet is the key to having a problem-free and quality skin – and drinking water is one of the best homemade acne treatments there is. However, your diet needs a lot more adjustments, especially if you want to improve your skin condition, you need to focus on a skin-care diet.
