There are countless of internet marketers who firmly believe that using keywords is the most important aspect in article writing. So, what they do is that they write articles that contain nothing but keywords and keyphrases and they don’t offer their readers with real information. The problem in going this route is that although you can get search engines to pay attention, there is no way that you’ll impress your readers. Let me give you an example; if a person goes online and search the keyphrase “how to treat acne” and he was able to pull out your articles, do you think he’ll be impressed and take the next step to do business with you? I don’t think so.
Online users are looking for articles that can offer solutions to their problems. If you can’t offer what they are looking for, you can be assured that they’ll close your articles and find another one that can give them exactly what they want. Do you know what this means? This would mean losing their business to your competitors.
So, if you really want to convert your readers to buying customers, you’ve got to give them great content that will speak volumes about your expertise. It is only through this that these people will begin seeing you as an expert on your chosen niche. This is not to say that using keywords in your articles is not important. What I am saying is that, it shouldn’t be your number one priority. Keep in mind that you are writing for your readers and not for the search engines alone.
